First Call Ambulance was founded in Nashville, TN in early 2004. Since then, we have expanded to provide medical transport services throughout Tennessee. Our team now includes over 300 employees and well over 60 ambulances and support vehicles. We are one of the largest providers of medical transport services in Tennessee. We offer a range of medical transport options designed to fit the needs of our patients, their families, hospital partners and municipalities.

Each year, we respond to in excess of 50,000 requests for our medical transport services, and we will continue to grow in communities in which our mission of “Transporting Patients with Personal Care and Exceptional Service” can fill a vital need for medical transport services.




COMPANY HISTORY

  • 2004
    First Call Ambulance was founded in Nashville, TN.
  • 2012
    First Call awarded the 9-1-1 contract for Cocke County.
  • 2017
    First Call’s contract with Cocke is renewed for an additional five year term. 
  • 2019
    Completed a major upgrade of the communications center with artificial intelligence-assisted dispatching and were highlighted on AT&T’s national Innovation Blog.
  • 2021
    First Call Ambulance becomes a member of the Priority Ambulance family of companies.
  • TODAY
    First Call Ambulance has more than 300 EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers & support staff serving more than 50,000 patients each year with 54 ambulances and emergency vehicles.

First Call Ambulance provides emergency and nonemergency transport services to communities throughout Tennessee, including the greater Nashville area, as well as Clarksville, Dickson, Gallatin, Smyrna, Columbia and Lebanon.
